I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our newest member, Davey1...a famous man in the world of model submarines. Apart from all his other sub related activities, Davey1(aka Dave Diplock )is the man responsible for doing most of the building of the hull of the infamous U-117. Dave did all the wood work on the boat, from cutting the first frames out, all the planking, and then the finishing off with gallons of resin and miles of fibreglass mat.
Welcome to the AMS forum, boss...nice to see you're back in the model sub world.
A very old picture of Dave in his workshop, waiting for resin to dry. Note the most important piece of equipment in the foreground...the kettle!
