this is  the  electronic WTC  which I decided to cut out the openings bigger . instead of one opening there will be three of them.  I will be placing clear Acrylic panel to see everything that's going on inside the box.  Engel gives you a aluminum plate but  you can't see inside. I must be in control of my submarine electronic  by a glance. Up coming steps of me doing this procedure  will be seen further in the build this will be  very time consuming but worth  it.

This is placing lead shot in the keel I have been told not to place all of it In the keel because  some may have to be taken out. So I used plastic wrap laid down inside the keel while the lead shot rest on top. Then i will poured in  the resin once cured i peeled off the plastic wrap  . Now  I can remove the weight as needed and  trim it to proper weight  .  once I achieve this I can glue it in hassle free. Something tells me I may use all of it but Im not taking chances .

this is the material I took out and the cut outs of my three compartments there was steel bars along the sides I took out Engel like to make there boxes very strong. Some of the metal going the other direction I left it inside for strength

The cut outs and the steel rods I took out.  this is why I  think l will  probably use all of my lead shot in the keel to make up for it being removed  .

thanks to Bob Martin, I installed a air valve which is a better way to pressurize the WTC to check for leaks. Place some pressurized air inside and come back one hour, later and see if any pressure is gone, if not you got a pretty good water tight seal .

    Looking good.

word of warning as mine and other has done the same. the Gear the holds the propshaft can come apart and then the gear will spin on the shaft. Drill a hole though the gear the shaft and then peg the it.

    Hi timgarrod,
So if im correct what you are telling once I get to placing In the prop shaft it can come apart then it will spin freely. So I should place a pin through the shaft keeping it together for good is this correct.
thanks for the heads up that's what i need

    kind regards

    Hi Jim,

That it, post a photo tomorrow night of the gear. Mine worked fine for years, but at the indoor event last month it finally failed and lost on off the drive motor. :(

think it due to weed jamming the prop and wearing down the bond between the brass shaft and the gear.

    cheers

    Hi Tim,

so what i can see is when the propellers, hit some grass, or things in the water over time you will get this main drive  gear, to slip and pull out from it's mounting . So what you did was drill, a hole through the gear, and shaft, and placed a pin  . I will look at my gear, system also see what I can do to make sure this does not happen to me .   comments  are welcome everyone. Anyone else have this problem  please share.

    thanks for the heads up

I NEED SOME HELP ANY ONE ! I posted a picture of a watt meter that was suppose to work for 6 volts system because my typhoon is a 6 volt system. Well it only seems to work on 12 volts only . Does not even glow light up nothing on 6 volts. I want some thing that works. Can someone please send me a link of a 6 volt meter that works for sure.
    would be much appreciated

I was told what the problem was there is a outside small power supply, small little pins that need to be powered up  for the meter to turn on . normally you need to do nothing if the power is over 12 volts In this case 6 volts is  to low for the screen to turn on with out  some help.  I now can now  use it for a 6 volt system . I had no instructions on this unit that is what the real problem was
