    Good Evening ,

    - I advanced a little bit with component arrangement in WTC ....
    - I mounted on a speed controller and receiver a piece of Velcro , and on PVC bracket also.....
    - I put thicker wires to the motor ....
    - I don't know what connectors to use for coupling the motor with speed controller and for connecting the battery to the speed controller ....
    - I have not forgotten either the fuse that protects the receiver or the main switch ,
    - I am most interested about what capacity should have receiver battery power ..... now I have 4,8 V = 4x1, 2V/2100mA - NiMh Accumulators ...
    - is enough to power the receiver? .....
    - if yeah, that autonomy would be? ...

    I have some questions :
    - what methods are most commonly used to isolate the power supply wires from the battery when they enter in the WTC ? ;
    - can I put Sealed Lead Acid battery terminals in the in water if it does not fit into the WTC ? ;
    - not is discharged or is short circuit?

Pictures next days . To day batery is empty
    .

Brass or stainless bolts through the end cap work well.

Sealed lead acid batteries are fine in water. The +12 volts terminal goes a bit green so I use a varnish/lacquer coat and some Vaseline to protect it.

Very little current draw from the battery at 12 volts in fresh water.

    HI there ,

I have a bag pressure from a device to measure blood pressure and has the dimensions from the picture ...... would be enough water volume for my sub ?
What are the most used methods to calculate what volume of water is needed ?
PLEASE I need these answer FAST in order to buy the necessary length of the Acrylic Tube .

    HELLO ,

    I have some questions :
    - what methods are YOU use to properly align rudders and dive planes axes from hull , and 90 degrees to one another ?
    - how to make perpendicular holes for those axis to the hull ?

Some Pictures with any system wheel be Much appreciated .

P.S RICHARD how did You succeded on Your Los Angeles ?

    HI ,

    Is me again !.
Where did buy when you need bronze bushings? ...... some individual/company/sites anywhere? ..... but to sell small quantities of 5-10 units and be reliable ...... meaning someone might purchased and received goods required!.

I need some BUSHINGS for the Propeller shaft , at the aft and at the end of the shaft before the motor connection .
And If I find some reliable Place I'll take more for the further projects too .

    Hello Marius,
for my model of a class 212A submarine I had the problem of driving the fin planes by a servo located inside of the presure hull. I solved my problem by means of a magnetic coupling:

    https://www.theassociationofmodelsubmariners.com/t483-magnetic-coupling-to-drive-fin-planes

Maybe this method is a little unconventional but this method suited best for my special application and demands (e.g. a watertight servo wouldn't do the Job because the model shall withstand a water pressure of 20 bar).

    Kind regards
    Hermann

For the time being I'm concerned about what system to use for the Ballast Tank , not decided eat !!! .
I took a break for couple of weeks to make the preparations for the EASTER celebration and probably next week I wheel start again on project .

What is Your advice for these problem , I don't have ANY MARKS for the RUDDERS or DIVE PLANES ?

    - what methods are YOU use to properly align rudders and dive planes axes from hull , and 90 degrees to one another ?
    - how to make perpendicular holes for those axis to the hull ?
Some Pictures as example wheel be much appreciated " (is QUOTE from my post on other forum ).

    HI,

I made some Hand Sketches with flooding holes for Bow and Aft . I didn't have measurements so I made them at the common sense !. What d You thing Guys ?. They Look realistic enough to be transfered to my model ?.

I usually use amsking tape to mark structures and shapes on curved surface. Easy to lay down and easy to remove.

    HI @Dr.Schmidt ,

Did You apply masking tape to a big area and then make the drawings on it or what ? . Can You give me some details or a picture/sketch ?.....
    - You draw every geometric figure on a masking tape , then cut each figure and the apply to the model ?.....
    - even so I have to draw directly on the model every geometric figure an then tray to find a way to make very thin markings with a sharp tool and so on , to make the contour before make the hole and sand/file .

Masking tape is the same Blue Tape?

    Post  Dr.Schmidt Thu May 15, 2014 11:32 am

Actually, you can do both. You can use thin masking tame to mark the outlines. e.g. if you have a line of flood openings, you can draw the upper horizontal tape line, then you do the lower one parallely, then you measure & mark the spacings between the openings with a pen and finally you put down the vertical lines.

If you have a wide masking tape on which you can drwa with a pen, then put that down as evenly and flat of the area of your hull that will get the openings and then you can start making marks and mesurements on the tape.

    An advanced method:
To get perfect horizontal and vertical lines, fix your hull perfectly level on a flat wooden board. Then you make yourself a tool: a U-shaped baord of wood that fits over you hull. The U gets two feet on its open end so that it will stand perfectly square and upright on the wooden board. Fix a pencil in the height of the desired vertical line on the U-tool pointing inwards, and then just slide the U alonge the hull. If the boat is level and the baord is straight then you will get a perfectly oriented horizontal lines on the side of the hull, no matter how complex the shape. Same for vertical lines. Position the U-Tool at the right position where the line should be and the slide the pen along the uprigght U-tool. This is how I made the markings form the rivets of my U-1 sub.

Among others I use this kind of tape:

THANK YOU Very Much for all Your advices .
I wheel tray to combine everything You told me into practice .
All I need is some Perfectly Flat Wooden Board  and some small pieces of wood to make the Tool for marker pen .
Masking tape I have enough , different sises .
I am going to start with some drawing for the tool and then continue .
I wheel keep You on post with .

That Tool witch You describe , You have It ?. Can You make a small picture with it ?.
