My TT Neptune came with a basic four channel radio installed...the tx is functional, but very plasticky and almost toy-like. I want to use my HiTec Optic6 tx with the Neptune, but the question is...which crystal do I use? I presume I'd need the TT tx crystal, but would they be compatible? I don't really want to strip the Neptune down again to replace the rx with the HiTec one unless I absolutely have to...

      Pic shows the TT tx.

      Hi Richard,
I am pretty sure that you can buy a synthesized TX and RX for the radio if it is a 40MHz or a 35MHz transmitter.
With a synthesized TX/RX you get something that operates very well underwater and the brilliant channel frequency selections by your choice. You can even add a 2.4GHz TX/RX, 2nd antenna with a toggle switch in-between the transmitters.
