I'm just watching the Rememberance Day service on tv...has anybody else noticed how those WW2 vets can still march in perfect time and are still perfectly upright?

What amazing men and women they are. I have the utmost respect for them.

Carol and I went down to Gosport, we arived at the museum about 10:30 and just had time to have a hot drink before we was all called to the quarter deck in front of the Alliance, now this is the first time that we have been down to the Rememberance parade that a Bible basher has also been on parade, he started the service about 10:45 with a few words at 11:00 the gun was fired and the two minutes Silence started, at the end of the two minutes the Submariners Prayer was said then the laying of the Wreaths, the service finshed of with the Naval hymn, now all of this was carred out in the rain, and for one old submaring it was to much.

That free and easey parade that we have come to love now seems to have gone by the board, in the old day's on a day like to-day, we would have had the service in side the Museum then go out side to lay the wreaths, as I write this I fell that I just may not go next year, but stay at home and lay a wreath here in Horsham on behalf of the club, but there again next November 11th is a long way off.
