    As our lake was ice'd over today, thought it would be great idea to try some surfacing though the ice and take some photo. was very thick ice but sub just couldn't break it. was a worrible 20 min's to to bring it. lesson learnt and could of been alot worse.

    Yes, I used to be an amateur diver and we tried something similar in our favourite quarry!(Dosthill near Tamworth.) Initially very worrying and the first thing we checked was breaking the ice from underneath!
