    I had these pics emailed to me earlier on from a guy in Jersey, CI, of his sub...I'm still awaiting details of what it is exactly.

    Whatever it is, it's certainly...different.

    I emailed the builder of this sub for more information, and I've just received this email from him:

    We were watching a dvd of tug towing, and there was a sub being towed with difficulty, so it started a idea that a sub would be a challenge. There was some old 8inch plastic pipe behind the clubhouse, so I bolted two 9ft pieces together, cut another length in half lengthways and screwed that down half and half down the centre of the two pipes, made the nose, tail and conning tower with that blue insulation board bonded together, sprayed it black, drilled holes down the sides to let in the water, and thats it.

    And it really is a difficult tow, not the weight of tow but the controlling of it.

    I think it would make an interesting conversion to a working boat...
