Anyone on here had any experience with the Bronco 1/32nd scale Type XX111 U boat kit? Just sitting here reading the assembly instructions and wondering how's the best way to have the hull open up, without resorting to bayonet fixings?

That's exactly what I wanted, thanks David...plenty of excellent reading material to get stuck into. I do like that longwise cut, it makes access so much easier, it'll be interesting to attempt with a razor saw! But, I must crack on with the Skipjack before I do anything with the Type XX111.

I've just been discussing with David as to how to glue up the four hull sections, his recommendation is to glue the bow and stern section of one side, then the same with the other two pieces, then glue the two halves together. See David's photos below:

And here's the hull sections of mine, I've removed the internal half bulkheads, just needs a bit of sanding down to finish the job off, then I can glue the sections together as per David's instructions.
