The first job of the day was to clean up the hull must say it's not the best moulding but it's not the worst also i didn't want to clean up the hull to much as as these subs were literally thrown together, these boats we're built in 3 seactions so the next job was to mark and then cut the hull into 3 so that i can make the bits that will join the hull back together again thats all i did for today and as they say onwards and upwards

You're right, it's not the best of mouldings...the original Darnell one was a lot better, but I guess over time the moulds have deteriorated. Shame really, it's an unusual boat, I don't remember seeing that many of them at the shows we used to go to. Bernie had a cracking one, it really was nice, and I can recall seeing one or two about, but on the whole, it'll be a rarity on the lake.

That's what I wanted to hear, get you back to building something for yourself, and not for some suit in an air conditioned office.

    Enjoy it mate...

well today i made the first of the new frames this is where the biber is bolted together on the real sub , after looking on the net and being shocked at the cost of 2mm bolts i decided that i'll make my own so placed an order for all the bits i'll need then i'll get on with making the 100+ bolts that will be going into the sub

    pic to follow later

Or guest tray to focus on the Rigid part (NO HOLE),and don't zoom it.Make the picture as far You can get,and if is to narrow window make more picture in the the same way as you do a slow motion movie(make a picture move the camera a Little bit further and so on,until you get the whole view).
    I hope You understand!.

There are some like mine on eBay, going for very good prices too. I know I bought a extra lens with it, but I paid well over £600 for mine.

had a look at the back end today then went for a cuppa what a mess the only way around it was to cut the last 3inches off to clean up the inside after this was done it was time to try fitting the rear dive plane/rudder on doing this i noticed that the bell crank was in the wrong place so i had to make a new one and move it further forward , i'll post some pic's when i find the cable for my phone
